Ms. Isabelle Bilterys (Belgium) holds a Masters in Translation and is currently pursuing an MBA. Prior to joining the United Nations, she worked as a manager of a language services department in the private sector in the Dominican Republic, an international customer account manager of a translation agency in Belgium, a freelance translator, a consultant and lecturer at the University of Mons (Belgium) and a teacher at a vocational training centre. Her first post with the United Nations after passing the language competitive examination for editors in 2006 was at the United Nations Office at Geneva, where she served as a French editor for the Human Rights Council and the International Law Commission. In 2012, she transferred to Headquarters in New York, where she edited official documents from the General Assembly and the Security Council, as well as ECOSOC
resolutions, and spent a few weeks at the French Translation Service until her appointment as the Outreach and Training Officer in November 2014.
